Cartoon Showcase: Littlest Pet Shop in Whenever Lola Laughs

In this episode, the pets are visited by melancholy performance artist Lola the Sad Little Kangaroo. Each of them attempt to make her laugh and show her how to be positive, which, unfortunately proves to be futile...futile, that is, until she gets a load of Squeaks' zany act, which has her cracking up in a heartbeat! Unfortunately, however, when her owner Gunther(who has worse trouble keeping his pants on than Tubbs does!) comes to pick her up, he takes umbrage at her newfound levity. Can the pets(especially Squeaks) show him the benifits of humor? Please enjoy!

Cartoon Showcase: Littlest Pet Shop in Treasure of Sierra Pet Shop

If there's a prize for how much slapstick is in a single LPS episode, this episode might certainly win it! In this humorous offering from this cool but underappreciated series, Chloe finds what she perceives to be a treasure map, so she and the other pets charter a boat to a small island to find it. When they find a large gold tooth, they end up feuding...all with appropriate amounts of hilarity ensuing! Please enjoy!

Cartoon Showcase: Yakko, Wakko, and Dot in O Silly Mio

Not enough hilarious for you? Well, this over-the-top wacky episode of Animaniacs will surely be just the thing! In this humorous cartoon, the Warners' new stained glass window is shattered by an opera singer next door(who has an OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD VOICE!); when the kids request that the singer lower her voice, however, she's rather rude about it. This, of course, then prompts them to get revenge(not unlike how Slappy did in a similar situation) with, of course, appropriate amounts of slapstick ensuing. Please enjoy!

Classic Cartoon Showcase: Tom and Jerry in Cue Ball Cat

Though it's debatable which Tom and Jerry cartoon is the funniest, this one surely ranks high on the list! In this hilarious classic, Tom's playing a game of pool, which disrupts Jerry's nap, for which the mouse opts to get revenge, with lots of humorous slapstick ensuing. Please enjoy!

Here also, in honor of Mother's Day, is a(very sweet!) song by country artist Jamie O'Neal, relating the special love between a mother and her daughter, and proving that every mother is most certainly somebody's hero! A Hap-Hap-Happy Mother's Day to All! :-)

A very Happy Mother's Day to everyone! To celebrate this very special occasion, I've made a Mother's Day bear, which will make a very special gift for your very special mom! ;-)

I've also written a fanfiction based off of the Mother's Day episode of the Pound Puppies TV show in honor of this occasion. In this story, the pups try to make a special Mother's Day for Nose Marie by doing all of her work for her, but it may not be as easy as it seems. Please enjoy!

It's Pony Time!

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is the most recent TV incarnation of the ever-popular My Little Pony franchise, as well as The Hub's most popular show. This series, which was written by Lauren Faust, who, along with her husband Craig McCracken, had previously worked on such acclaimed shows as The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, follows the daily life of the smart, sensible Twilight Sparkle, a unicorn apprenticed by Princess Celestia, the city of Equestria's resident royalty, and her goofy, lovable friends.

Twilight's group of buddies consists of the ditzy, hyper Pinkie Pie who loves to sing and throw parties, hard-working country girl Applejack whose family runs the local apple plantation, feisty tomboy Rainbow Dash who not only loves sports and races but also helps control the weather, sweet, bashful Fluttershy(Love that name!) who loves animals and nature, and haughty diva Rarity who is Equestria's resident fashion designer. The group is occasionally joined by Twilight's little dragon buddy Spike(who fans of MLP G1 will remember) and Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash's cute but accident-prone little sisters Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo, who have dubbed themselves "The Cutie Mark Crusaders", due to their trying to find their mission in life.

Episodes often revolve around the ponies incurring a dilemma or situation of some ilk, which they always solve with the help of their friends, a little bit of magic, and plenty of humor!

Personally, I think this is the best version of My Little Pony(although G1 was certainly no slouch). The art style is beautiful, the characters are interesting, funny, and relatable, and the episode plots are clever, entertaining and amusing. The best thing about this show, at least IMHO, is that unlike previous MLP incarnations, it doesn't take itself seriously at all, with slapstick and silly jokes being a common occurence. A nifty show that MLP afficionados old and new are sure to love, with an excellent opportunity to introduce a whole new generation to that ever-catchy theme song!

"My Lit-tle Po-nee, My Lit-tle Po-nee..." Gotta love it! :-)

Several DVDs of the series were made, which are available on Amazon*:

Several other(very nifty!) items were made, such as books, a trading card game, and some very cool action figures!

Here are some links to some of the cooler action figures:

Could those be wedding bells I hear?

Joke of the Week #54

Three guys named Shutup, Manners, and Poop are in a car, driving down the highway, when suddenly the car hits a bump and Poop falls out. Shutup pulls the car over; Manners rushes out to help Poop while Shutup runs off to get help.

Shutup hurries over to a nearby police station and explains the situation to the officer behind the desk. "What's your name?" the officer inquires.

"Shutup." he replies.

"Hey!" the officer exclaims angrily. "Where's your manners?"

"Down the road a ways, pickin' up Poop."
