She's a Stranger in a Strange Land

Here is a Pound Puppies fanfiction, which was a collab between fellow writer brave kid and I(He had the initial idea, and I wrote the story), which is the first in a series he and I will be writing in the future. In this story, a technical malfunction sends Strudel(from the 2010 series) to a strange other dimension where dogs walk on their hind legs and talk to people(As they did in the original series from the '80s). Strudel is now left in the position of figuring out this odd universe while trying to find her way home again. Things soon go awry when the Pound Puppies' visiting friend Harry is dognapped and held hostage at the villainous Milton Feltwaddle's pound. Can Strudel help her friends rescue Harry and find her way back to her own dimension? Please enjoy!

BTW, here are some pics of the characters' AU guises:

Strudel, garbed in a scientist's outfit. I patterned her appearance slightly on Nose Marie's(With the one curlicue of hair).

Lucky, wearing a jacket like Cooler's with inverted colors, and Cookie, whose outfit conveys her tough-girl persona.

Niblet, wearing a beanie and a t-shirt with a goofy logo, conveying the fact that he's not all there, and Squirt, garbed in biker gear, conveying his feisty attitude. (BTW, the logo on Niblet's shirt says, "Drink Pupsi Cola.")

The Super Secret Pup Club, who are this universe's answer to Whopper, and even have their own Fort Whopper-esque clubhouse. Cupcake also has some of Brighteyes' personality traits now, and Patches has some of Whopper's.(BTW, Patches' hat is based on the one worn by Tuffy from the episode "Tuffy Gets Fluffy" only a different color.)

Dot, who now runs the pound as Holly did in the original series, and has a personality more like Holly's.

The Kennel Kittens, who are good guys in this universe(Which, IMHO is the way it should be!) and play a crucial part in Harry's rescue later in the story.

Toyoshiko the robot dog, who previously appeared in the episode, "Toyoshiko! Bark Friend Machine." In this universe she's been rebuilt and now acts as Strudel's assistant around the lab, as well as Strudel's other assistant Mr. Nut Nut, who is able to speak English in this universe(But still isn't completely all there).

Sweet Pea and Harry, the two polar opposite pups who first appeared in the episode, "Doubles Trouble." Sweet Pea's outfit conveys her prim-and-proper personality, while Harry's(amply mud-stained) outfit, appropriately enough, conveys his wild-and-messy personality.

And finally for the good guys' side, is Dr. Carlton, a Doc Weston-type pound veterinarian who has a minor role in the story.

On the villain's side we have the evil villain Milton Feltwaddle's nephew Morton, who's always all too happy to carry out his uncle's dirtiest deeds(He basically is Brattina to Feltwaddle's Katrina Stoneheart), and Feltwaddle's nasty pet cat Scarface Claw, who had previously been exiled from the Kennel Kittens because he was too mean. His personality is based on that of Catgut, and his name and appearance are based on those of an antagonist from the Hairy McClairy book series.

After completing her walk, the first astronaut tries to get back inside, but the door's locked. She knocks at the door. No answer. She knocks harder. Still no answer. She pounds with all her might.

"Hmm," Henry muses. "May I ask how big this Martian is?"

"He's fifteen feet tall and weighs ten tons."

"Ten tons?!" a shocked Henry exclaims. "I live in a small, one room apartment with my wife, five kids and a dog. I can't possibly buy a ten ton, fifteen-foot Martian for $50!"

"All right," the salesman replies persuasively. "How about five Martians for $100?"

Henry smiles. "You've got yourself a deal!"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Greetings, Earthlings," the creature says. "We are the Furries from Planet Furdonia."

"Are you the leader?" one of the astronauts inquires.

"No, I'm just an ordinary furry," the Furry replies. "But I'll be happy to take you to our leader. Please follow me."

The astronauts follow the Furry to a large odd-looking castle-like structure; he leads them through the door, up a spiral staircase, and into a room where a giant furry purple creature wearing a hypodermic needle on his head is sitting on a throne.

"Pardon us," one of the astonauts inquires. "But are you the leader?"

The giant furry creature replies, "Yes, I am the Furry with the syringe on top."

Fan Fiction Showcase:Android Scam by Coyoteloon

This writer, who primarily writes My Life as a Teenage Robot fan fictions, has a very good writing style, just about on par with the show. (Honestly, if there were a "Should Be a Scriptwriter for My Life as a Teenage Robot" award, he'd win it in a heartbeat!) This is his first story, which sets up future storylines; in this very clever fanfic, Jenny meets new student Andrew "Drew" Nabholtz(an OC who'll appear in later stories), and they become fast friends. Eventually, the Cluster attacks, and it's up to Drew and Jenny to save the day! Please enjoy!
