A very cool story written by my friend rocker16349 in which the famous fleet-footed hedgehog and his fox friend Tails pass into another dimension where they meet and befriend Blythe and her furry little friends. When Dr. Eggman comes to spoil the fun, it's up to the speedy duo to save their new friends! Please enjoy!

Misplaced in Cyberspace
I don't think they're in New York any more...
Here is a Pound Puppies fanfiction, which was a collab between fellow writer brave kid and I(He had the initial idea for the story, and I wrote it up), which is the eighth in a series he and I will be writing in the future. In this story, the villainous Milton Feltwadde's nephew Morton injects a virus into the puppy pound's computer, which prevents the Pound Puppies from helping puppies and purries find their perfect homes. Lucky and Ace thus take on the task of being digitized into the computer and tracking down the virus, but things soon get very weird! Please enjoy!
BTW, here are a few pics of the story's characters:
Roxie, the Dalmatian pup who first appeared in the episode, "Accidental Pup Star." She arrives at the pound just before the virus is discovered, and the Puppies and Kittens hope to get things cleared away in time for her to find her perfect owner.
The computer mouse who greets Lucky and Ace when they first enter cyberspace, and one of the spider cabbies that navigates the World Wide Web via taxi.
Auntie Virus, who guards cyberspace against pests, and the shopkeeper cat Lucky and Ace first meet upon entering a computer game, who gives them information on how to defeat the virus.
Slimey, the red slime who joins Lucky and Ace on their quest in the computer game, and his mother who comes to take him home at the adventure's end.
The large fat unicorn, enraged hippo, and gentleman water buffalo Lucky and Ace meet in a strange series of events leading to the cure for the virus.
One of the wood-chucking woodchucks Lucky and Ace meet in the forest, and the odd half-elephant Sphinx creature whose riddles they need to answer in order to find the cure.
And the little memory creatures Lucky and Ace meet upon finding the virus, and the giant ram which may be part of the key to defeating the virus once and for all.

The Game Show: Rugrats: Search for Reptar for the Playstation
In this very first game starring Nickelodeon's famous group of wacky, lovable kids, Tommy Pickles misplaces the pieces of his favorite Reptar puzzle, so it's up to him and the rest of the Rugrats kids to win them back! Players guide Tommy and the crew through a series of minigames based off of episodes of the show, such as:
Ice Cream Mountain-The kids play through several(very bizarre!) mini-golf courses in hopes of winning one of the enormous ice cream sundaes offered at the end.(There's also a two-player version of this game.)
The Mysterious Mr. Friend-Stu has built a series of robot dolls which have begun malfunctioning, so it's up to Tommy to fight them off!
Touchdown Tommy-In this football game parody, greedy Angelica wants the kids' chocolate milk, so they have to quickly drink it up while avoiding her!
The Seven Voyages of Cynthia-Tommy and Chuckie borrowed Angelica's Cynthia doll without her knowing and accidentally got it lost down the sewer, so it's up to Spike(whom a few fans have affecionately dubbed, "The only four-legged Rugrat") to navigate the sewers and find it before Angelica gets back.(An interesting feature I'd like to make note of here is the character's HP gauges; the kids use bottles of milk for HP and Spike uses doggie biscuits.)
Mirrorland-In a situation that the fabled Alice could very much relate to, Tommy passes through his mother's antique mirror and ends up with his gravity reversed; Tommy now has to navigate the ceilings of his house and collect enough balloons to float back down to the ground before time runs out.
Grandpa's Teeth-Spike makes off with Grandpa Lou's false teeth at a family picnic at the park, so it's up to Tommy and Chuckie to retrieve them first from Spike, and then from a goose!*(Another interesting feature I'd like to mention is the way Chuckie follows Tommy in this game, much like how Tails follows Sonic, or how Luigi follows Mario in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.**)
Hi-ho Spike, awaaaaaaaay!
The Gold Rush-Angelica, who's just found a nickel on the playground, becomes greedy for more, so it's up to Phil and Lil to navigate the playground, collecting as many coins as they can before time runs out.(They could certainly take a few tips from Mario and Sonic about this. :-D)
Incident in Aisle Seven-Tommy navigates a(much more fraught than your average) supermarket in search of a box of his favorite cereal, dodging flying vegetables and fighting off(GLEEP!) escaped lobsters along the way.
Pros:-A very enjoyable, well-made game with virtually no learning curve.
-Well-cast voiceovers with each character being voiced by their voice acors from the series.
-Good graphics.
-Background music taken from the show.
-Many very clever little in-game features, such as toys the kids can play with.
Cons:-A few bad camera angles that can occasionaly make it difficult to see where you're going.
-At the risk of sounding picky, Phil and Lil don't seem to get much face time in this game.(To be fair, though, this is the only Rugrats game I've played, so they may get more face time in other games.)
Overall, a very good, innovative game that represents the franchise well. Although this game is a bit simplistic, it's by no means a pushover(In the same spirit of such arcade classics as Pac-Man, Frogger, or Space Invaders). A must-play for any Rugrats fan.
*Wow, they really have their work cut out for them here! :-D

Fanfiction Showcase:Chowdermon! Gotta Catch 'Em All! by kenny plain
Can Chowder catch 'em all? This very nifty story takes the plot of the Pokemon video games/TV series and replaces the human cast with the cast of Cartoon Network's ever-popular comedy series, Chowder. In this story, Chowder, Panini, and Gorgonzola(taking the places of Ash, Misty, and Brock, respectively) set out on a journey to become Pokemon masters. Please enjoy!
(BTW, I'd like to put this, along with the Rhythm Heaven/Pokemon crossover in my "I wish a game like this actually existed" file. :-D)

Domo? Arigato!
Look out! Here comes Domo!
Domo:The Manga is an Ameri-manga produced by Tokyopop, starring Tsuneo Goda's iconic monster. The comic, which is drawn by several different artists(two of whom being Jared Hodges and Lindsay Cibos of Peach Fuzz fame), follows the adventures of Domo and his(super-cute!) forest friends: the wise old rabbit Mr. Usaji, the sensible weasel Tashanna, the mother and son bats Maya and Mario(No relation), who are little more than background characters, the shy, sweet Bear Boy, the fox trio, consisting of Brother Fox, the moody oldest sibling, Fox Boy, the easygoing middle child, and Esther, the prank-loving youngest, and Hungry Bear, who's uhm, well...a rather large, hungry bear! :-D
Much of the humor of these comics derives from Domo's tendency to overdo things, which often leads to a bigger problem than the one he's currently trying to solve.
The comic consists of six short stories:
Don't Try This at Home-Domo enjoys watching a samurai movie a little too much!
Hero For a Day-After watching a superhero movie, Domo decides to become a superhero...but ends up doing much more harm than good!*
"Fix, fix, fix, fix...FIXED!" Too funny! :-D
Soapbox Road Warrior-Domo and the others compete in a soapbox derby for the prize of a month's supply of delicious peaches. Who will win?
The Ultimate Beetle-Domo trains a beetle for a beetle fight, but as usual, things don't go as planned.
Life Is Just a Game-Tashanna invites a bored Domo over to her house to play video games; when he ends up breaking her video game system, he remedies(and we use this term loosely) the situation by having the other animals act out a "real-life" video game.
Living in the Now-Tashanna endeavors to improve the quality of everyone's lives by introducing them to cell phones...but will the animals ever figure them out?**
My Thoughts:This is a very funny, enjoyable, very well-written and well-drawn comic. The characters(especially Domo himself) are very cute, likeable and full of personality, and the storylines are very fun and entertaining. The book even contains a(very nifty) Domo Fanart section. All in all, a very nifty comic that any Domo aficionado is sure to love.
There were several humorous short films(Which were briefly seen on Nickelodeon) made of Domo's escapades, which are now available on DVD:
"Domo? DOMOOOO!"
*Hmm, might this, perhaps, make him a "Less-than hero?" :-D
**Watch for cameos made by Hee and Haw, two flower pixies that only Domo can see, and a ghost simply named the Ghost, who appears and disappears at will, in this chapter.(Some humorous stuff is done here!)

Music Showcase:Destructive Wave by S-Dynamites
This instrumental song(which IMHO sounds a little like a surfing tune!) is from the video games GuitarFreaks V and DrumMania V. The video it's set to features the misadventures of a Power Rangers-esque team of superhero pets(a dog, a cat and a hamster) who are...really inept! Please enjoy!
For some reason, the monster in this video reminds me of the Junkman from Jimmy Neutron. He does kind of have a similar look about him.

This very cool(and very energetic!) song is from the video games GuitarFreaks 11th Mix and DrumMania 10th Mix. The video it's set to features the(occasionally bizarre) escapades of a little girl and her(super-cute!) little dog. Please enjoy!
Here also is the full version of this song; the video of which is...rather hyper! Please enjoy!

The Game Show:Pokemon Puzzle League for the Nintendo 64 and Pokemon Puzzle Challenge for the Gameboy Color
"Pokemon Puzzle League, I choose you!"
These very cool little games truly give you the best of both worlds:they're puzzle games starring those lovable(and very cute) little pocket monsters! The games' play mechanics are identical to those of the Nintendo classic Tetris Attack(which itself is modelled off of a Japanese puzzle game entitled Panel De Pon, which is pictured below):players flip and connect multicolored blocks together to make them disappear.
Puzzle League's cast and storyline is taken from the super-popular(for good reason, IMHO!) TV show. In single-player mode, players guide Ash Ketchum through a series of battles versus a myriad of other trainers(Brock, Misty, Sabrina, Blaine, etc) for the championship. In two-player mode, players pick from 14 different trainers, and duel each other.
There's even a storyline in which players foil the dastardly(albeit dopey) Team Rocket's evil scheme, as well as a 3D mode(in which the playing field is a cylinder shape rather than a flat one).
Pros:-A fun, innovative game with lots of replay value.
-Beautiful TV show-grade graphics.
-Top-notch voiceovers.
-BGM from the hit TV show.
-Uhm....well, it's a Pokemon game! :-D
Cons:-I personally found it a bit tricky to play in 3D mode.
Puzzle Challenge features the(adorable!) G2 Pokemon. Included in this version, among other things, are a quest mode, in which players duel various rival trainers, as well as Pokemon Gold and Silver's gym leaders, and hatchable baby Pokemon eggs!
Pros:-Storyline and characters from Gold and Silver.
-Beautiful, beautiful graphics.
-Many very cool gameplay modes.
-Great BGM and sound effects.
-Uhm...well, it's a Pokemon game, too!
Cons:-None to speak of, really!
Overall, these are two high-quality games that any Pokemon fan(such as I am!) is sure to love.

The Game Show:Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64
Paper Mario(which is known as Mario Story in Japan) is an RPG(which could be considered a semi-sequel to Super Mario RPG:Legend of the Seven Stars) starring that famous plumber himself. One of the niftiest things about this game is that, as per the title, the game's characters are two-dimentional(literally having the appearance of being made of paper) against a three-dimentional background. The story is that Mario has been invited to a party at Princess Peach's castle; unfortunately, Bowser comes by and crashes the party, kidnaps Peach and commandeers her castle. Mario has no choice but to battle Bowser, but soon discovers that Bowser has in his possesion an item called the Star Rod which makes him super-powerful, and unfortunately, Mario ends up being no match for him. Mario later learns of the seven Star Spirits who have been imprisoned by Bowser and held hostage by several of his lackeys, so Mario's task is clear:free the Star Spirits, defeat Bowser, and get the Star Rod back in order to save Peach and restore order in the Mushroom Kingdom once more.
Players guide Mario through a series of levels, ranging from deserts to jungles to mountains to flower fields to even a strange toy land. Mario is aided in this journey by several "travelling buddies"(Goombario the Goomba, Kooper the Koopa, Bombette the Bob-omb, Parakarry the Parakoopa, Lady Bow the Boo, Watt the Little Sparky, Sushie the Cheep Cheep, and Lakilester "Spike" the Lakitu)* each with their own special abilities(Kooper can get faraway items via his shell, Bow can make Mario invisible, Parakarry can fly Mario over impasses, Bombette can break weak walls, etc.).
Mario fights battles with his famous jump and equally famous hammer. A boss battle awaits Mario and his friends at the end of each level; every time a boss is beaten, a Star Spirit, whose abilities aid Mario in battle is freed. Various badges, which improve Mario's abilities and occasionally even give him special powers(such as electrifying him, so enemies take damage when they touch him) are also available.
In between levels, players take control of Pricess Peach, who, with the help of a little star buddy named Twink(no relation) wanders throughout Bowser's castle, picking up items and information that will be helpful to Mario on his quest.
Pros:-A very cool, enjoyable game with practically no learning curve.
-Very nifty and very original graphics.
-A very good, interesting storyline.
-Very good, well-cast, and often amusing characters with lots of personality. Many familiar faces, such as Luigi and the Yoshi clan make appearances, and many other characters have goofy, humorous names, such as Russ T., Huff N. Puff, Fishmael, Minh T., Dane T., Rip Cheato, Chuck Quizmo, and Tubba Blubba.
Honestly, y'gotta love the name "Tubba Blubba"!
-Uhm, well...it's a Mario game! :-D
Cons:-Like most RPGs, this game can be a bit tricky at times; without a strategy guide of some sort, players may be stuck for what to do in certain situations. (Fortunately, there are plenty of strategy guides available not only online, but right here as well.)
Overall, a very cool, funny, enjoyable, and very original game with lots of replay value. Although the character designs may be paper-thin, the premise most certainly isn't!(I couldn't resist. :-D) From a personal standpoint, I've always loved this game, and back in the day, I used to play it every chance I got. A highly reccommended selection for any Mario aficionado.

The Game Show:Zoocube for the Nintendo Gamecube, the Gameboy Advance and the Playstation 2
Save the animals(from being made into weird shapes)!
In this very nifty little puzzle game, the maniacal Dr. Buc Ooze has transformed a series of animals into odd shapes, so it's up to you to save the animals and return them to their natural state! Players stack "animal shapes" on a multi-sided block(the "ZooCube"); when two like shapes are connected, an animal is freed. The animals range from cute to funny to cool to just plain weird(the hippo and the koala)!
The GBA version is somewhat different from the GC version, mainly in that rather than animal shapes, players stack various geometric shapes together. (Personally, I always thought the GC version was the better of the two due to the fact that you can actually see the rescued animals in that version, whereas in this version you can't.)
There's also a PS2 version which seems a bit more rare(and also isn't currently available on Amazon). I haven't played it personally, but I'd wager it's probably similar to the GC version.
Pros:-A very clever, original puzzle game with tons of replay value.
-Beautiful, beautiful graphics.
-Virtually no learning curve.
-Very cool BGM.
Cons:-The game's storyline is very inane and utterly pointless. Like Prey the Stars, this game doesn't really seem to need a storyline, at least IMHO.
-The shapes that come toward the cube from directly below are(in my experience, at least) the hardest to keep an eye on.
Overall, a very cool and innovative game that's hard to put down(you may ask me how I know...
:-D). If you like animals and you like puzzle games, and particularly if you like puzzle games about animals, this is the game for you!

The Game Show:The Dog Island for the Nintendo Wii and the Playstation 2
This precious little game, based off the famous Artist Collection franchise, is something of a cross between Nintendogs, Animal Crossing, and an RPG. Players play as an adorable small, big-headed dog who's trying to save their younger sibling(players choose from a brother or a sister), who has contracted a mysterious illness, by traveling to a faraway island in search of the legendary flower that's said to be the cure. Players choose from 40-odd breeds of dog(some of which have color variants), including a few rare breeds, such as Weimaraners, Bull Terriers, Flat-Coated Retrievers, Shiba Inus, Cairn Terriers(they're super-cuddly!), and Australian Shepherds.
Players travel through grassy plains, deserts, and icy tundras, using their dog skills by sniffing out hidden items, and howling to ward off dangerous animals. In a similar manner to the aforementioned Animal Crossing, players also have the ability to catch bugs and fish. Players will befriend the islanders who live in the various towns, and will sometimes be given mini-quests by them, thus being rewarded with a woof(this game's currency) once each task is completed. Players can also dress up their dog in various hats, scarves, glasses, etc.
Pros:-A nice, enjoyable game with virtually no learning curve.
-Absolutely BEAUTIFUL graphics!
-Cute, lovable characters with lots of personality.
-Lots of fun quests, and nifty items to be found.
-A sweet, touching storyline which is more than elevated by the game's theme song.
(A box of Kleenex is highly reccommended.) :*)
Cons:-Like most RPGs, this game can be a bit tricky; without a strategy guide of some sort, a person might be stuck for what to do in certain situations. (Fortunately, there are many such strategy guides available online!)
-This game has no autosave feature, relying instead on "save spots", which can sometimes be tricky to find.
-Some of the puzzles found in various areas can be tricky to solve(e.g. I lost count of how many times I went through that puzzle in the ice level before I finally got it right. :-p)
Overall, a sweet, heartwarming game that's also a lot of fun. If you like dogs and you like RPGs, this is the game for you!

The Game Show:Super Mario Advance for the Game Boy Advance
This nifty little game(which was also one of the first games released for the Game Boy Advance in America) is an updated release of Super Mario Brothers 2. In this game, the evil King Wart has taken over the kingdom of Subcon and imprisoned its inhabitants, so it's up to Mario and his friends to save the day. Players choose from Mario(who has balanced stats), Luigi(slightly lower stats than Mario, but has a much more powerful jump), Princess Peach(low stats, but can float for a little while), and Toad(has the most speed and power, but the weakest jump). Players guide Mario and his friends through a series of different levels(grasslands, desert, arctic, falls, etc.) each suited to their abilities, with a boss battle every third level. Gameplay mostly involves picking up items(such as vegetables) and throwing them at enemies.

The game is a vasty improvement over the original, with improved graphics and music, as well as voices for each character and every boss. Some other differences include:
-A Yoshi Challenge that becomes available after the game's been beaten.
-A new boss named Robirdo(she's a giant robot Birdo who spits giant eggs).
-"Big" vegetables, "big" POW blocks, and "big" enemies(the former being pictured below).
An interesting fact regarding Super Mario Bros 2, incidentally, is the fact that it wasn't originally a Mario game at all! It had originally been a Japanese game called Doki Doki Panic, an Arabian Nights-themed game concerning a family of four:Imajin the brother(who became Mario), Lina the sister(who became Peach), Mama(who became Luigi), and Papa(who became Toad), who have to save two kids who were kidnapped by Wart and dragged into a storybook. Doki Doki Panic was honestly kind of a bizarre game that didn't make much sense, however, once it was given a Mario makeover, everything certainly fell into place; IMHO, the change was definetly for the better.
Pros:-A highly improved update on a classic game with plenty of replay value.
-Easy gameplay with practically no learning curve.
-Four different playable characters to choose from.
-Nintendo's arcade classic Mario Bros. is also available in this game, and it now features a very nifty four-player mode.
-Uhm...it's a Mario game? :-D
Cons:-Levels, especially later ones, can be very tricky to get through.
-It's not always easy to find out where to put the potion, which makes the door leading you to the power-up mushroom.
-For some reason, Toad was given a really annoying voice!
Overall, a fun, original Mario game concept that any Mario afficionado is sure to love.

The Game Show:Squishy Tank for the Nintendo DS
Squish!
Squishy Tank is a nifty little puzzle game starring many of these bizzarely cute little tanks who need extra protection because they're, well...squishy! Players help the Squishy Tanks by breaking up different colored blocks, with certain amounts of each color needed to finish each level. There are also various special items(such as the tornado pictured below) that aid gameplay in such ways as increasing time, getting rid of a bunch of blocks at a time et al.
The game modes include Time Attack mode, Survival mode, Quest mode, and Story mode, the latter of which follows the Squishy Tanks through various humorous escapades. Also included are various unlockables, such as 3 different mini-games(one of which being a humorous nod to the legendary Space Invaders) and costumes to dress the Squishy Tanks in(the descriptions of some of which being humorous allusions to Bob the Builder, DragonBall Z, Ghostbusters et al.).
Pros:-A fun, amusing, hard-to-put-down game(You may ask me how I know, LOL :-D).
-Easy gameplay with virtually no learning curve.
-Very humorous overtones.
Cons:-Honestly, what's there to complain about in a game about cute Squishy Tanks?
Overall, this is an enjoyable, humorous game that's every bit as likeable as its adorable little protagonists. If you like puzzle games and you like funny games, and particularly if you like funny puzzle games, this is the game for you!

The Game Show:Rhythm Heaven for the Nintendo DS
They got rhythm, they got music. Who could ask for anything more?
Woohoo! 50 posts so far! Yaaaay! Whoopee! Hooray!....Ah, ahem, where was I? Oh yes....
Rhythm Heaven(or Rhythm Tengoku Gold, as it's known in Japan) is a music/rhythm based game made by the creators of the acclaimed Wario Ware series. The game is made up of a series of(rather bizarre, as is par for the course for the makers of Wario Ware) rhythm-based mini-games, such as Glee Club in which you play one of a trio of singers, Fillbots in which you work at a factory fueling up robots, the Space Invaders-esque Shoot-'Em-Up in which you have to blast incoming alien invaders, Love Lizards in which you play Cupid to a lizard couple, Moai Doo-Wop in which you play one of a pair of Moai(a fancy name for Easter Island heads) singing a very 50s-esque doo-wop song, and Fan Club in which you play one of a pop singer's entourage of monkeys.
One can't help but wonder...why monkeys? But, then again, why not monkeys?
New games are unlocked by achieving "OK"(good) or "Superb"(high) scores in games; medals are won when "Superb" scores are achieved. When enough medals are won, various rhythm games and rhythm toys become available(such as the "Slot Monster" pictured below). Once a "Superb" is achieved in a game, there will occasionally be the option to try for a perfect score in said game(this is done by playing through the game without making any mistakes); a prize(either music or something to read) is won once a perfect score is achieved.
For some reason, he reminds me of Meowth from Pokemon...probably because he has a somewhat cat-like look about him.
Also present in the game is a cafe` where you can listen to the music you've won, read the books you've won, practice flicking, or talk to the barista(Although many of the latter's anecdotes are apropos of nothing, he will also occasionally give you tips on how to play the games and tell you when a chance for a perfect score is coming up).
An interesting fact regarding Rhythm Heaven BTW, is that it isn't the first of its kind. The first game in this series was a game entitled Rhythm Tengoku for the Game Boy Advance, which was never released in America. Regrettably, I don't know much about it, other than that it basically had the same premise as this game.
Pros:-A fun, original game concept.
-Beautiful Wario Ware-grade graphics.
-Fun, catchy music composed by famed producer Tsunku.
-The game is absolutely HILARIOUS!
Cons:-For those(like myself! :-p) who are rhythmically-challenged, this game can be a bit tricky. On a fortunate note, the barista will occasionally give you the option to skip a game you're having trouble with.
-As such, winning medals, collecting items, and trying to get a perfect score is also tricky.
"Hey! Stop looking at me like that!"
Overall, this is a good, fun, humorous, one-of-a-kind game with plenty of replay value. Despite it having a certain degree of difficulty, it's still very enjoyable and worthwhile. If you like music games and you like funny games and especially if you like funny music games, this is the game for you, I suppose, I SUPPOSE! YEAH!
BTW, I'd also like to share this YouTube video somebody made of Rhythm Heaven with a Pokemon makeover. (Honestly, it would be nice if such a game actually existed-it looks mighty cool!)
